Radio Sweden: Despite compulsory schooling, thousands of children staying at home

All children in Sweden are supposed to go to school but many don’t; recent reports suggest 5,500 students don’t show up to school.

Though there are no official statistics on just how many children are absent from school for long periods of time.  And the so-called home-sitters are getting younger, some are as young as seven years old.
